What level is my child?

Level 1: Water Introduction (ages 1-2)

  • Comfort in the water 
  • Water entry and exit with assistance 
  • Blowing bubbles and getting face wet 
  • Supported front and back floating 
  • Gentle kicking on front and back 
  • Basic water safety awareness

Level 2: Beginner Skills

  • Independent water entry and exit 
  • Submerging face and holding breath briefly 
  • Front and back floating with minimal support 
  • Kicking on front and back independently 
  • Basic safety skills (reaching for wall, listening for instructions)

Level 3: Intermediate Skills

  • Fully independent front and back float 
  • Front crawl (freestyle) basics with breathing 
  • Backstroke fundamentals 
  • Treading water introduction 
  • Swimming short distances independently 
  • Retrieving objects from shallow water
  • Introduction to diving
  • Improved endurance and body control

Level 4: Advanced/Pre-Swim Team

  • Strong freestyle with side breathing 
  • Backstroke with proper technique 
  • Introduction to breaststroke
  • Treading water with confidence (longer duration) 
  • Diving fundamentals
  • Flip turns and streamline push-offs 
  • Increased endurance for longer distances
